Journal information

The Brazilian Journal of Oncology (ISSN 2526-8732) is the successor to the Revista Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica (ISSN 1806-6054), a print journal previously managed by the Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Clínica (Brazilian Society of Clinical Oncology), which released its inaugural issue in April 2004.

The Journal was temporarily discontinued in 2015 (Volume 12) and resumed publication in 2017 (Volume 13) under its current title, the Brazilian Journal of Oncology (BJO).

The Brazilian Journal of Oncology launched with an expanded scope as an exclusively online journal, initially supported by the Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Oncológica (Brazilian Society of Surgical Oncology) and the Sociedade Brasileira de Radioterapia (Brazilian Society of Radiotherapy). In May 2023, the Sociedade Brasileira de Oncologia Pediátrica (Brazilian Society of Pediatric Oncology) joined forces with these societies to co-sponsor the journal.

Fees and Compliance

There are no fees for submitting or publishing articles in the Brazilian Journal of Oncology. By submitting a manuscript, authors agree to comply with all requirements outlined in the Editorial Policy and Instructions.
